Global equity benchmarks and the macro conditions behind them — the backdrop crypto trades against.

Refreshes every 15 min · Stooq + FRED

How the read is built. Breadth across the tracked indices counts for 70%, the macro vote for 30%. VIX is inverted, since a falling VIX is the risk-on outcome. Each FRED series votes on whether its latest move helps risk assets: a rising dollar, rising yields, or widening credit spreads count against; an expanding Fed balance sheet or growing money supply count for.

On the data. Index prices are daily closes from Stooq, not live intraday quotes — during US market hours the S&P figure is the previous close until the session settles. FRED series update on their own schedules, so the dollar index and yields refresh daily while the Fed balance sheet is weekly and M2 is monthly; each card shows its own date.
