Reading this page. Funding is annualised so venues on different intervals compare directly — hover a venue's funding figure to see the raw per-interval rate. Positive funding means longs pay shorts, which usually marks crowded long positioning; sustained double-digit annualised funding is expensive to hold and often precedes an unwind. Rising open interest with rising price is new money; rising open interest with falling price is shorts building. Options IV is Deribit's DVOL index, available for BTC and ETH only.
Coverage gaps, stated plainly. Binance is the largest perp venue and is deliberately excluded: its futures API blocks US-hosted IPs, so it would work on your PC and fail on Vercel. Bitget reports funding but its open interest is contract-denominated, so that cell is left blank rather than guessed. Aggregate figures therefore understate the true market — they are a consistent sample across the venues that do report, not a market-wide total.
